SUN Bucks Available to Support Families This Summer

SUN Bucks is a program from the U.S. Department of Agriculture that helps families buy groceries during the summer months when school is out. Eligible families will receive a one-time payment of $120 per child on a debit-like card. The card can be used to purchase nutritious food during the summer months when schools are out. Board Approves 2026-2027 School Calendar

The Board of Education approved the 2026-27 school calendar. The calendar was adopted during the board meeting on December 15, 2025, and revised March 16, 2026, to change the optional teacher workday from June 1, 2027, to August 4, 2026. School-based telehealth clinic now available for students

Gaston County Schools is partnering with Kintegra Health to provide a school-based telehealth clinic, giving students access to medical care without leaving campus.

Through the telehealth clinic, students can connect with a Kintegra Health medical provider using secure video technology. A trained clinical professional will be with the student during the visit to assist with the exam and communicate with the provider.

Cherryville High School continues to meet or exceed growth expectations on state End-of-Course tests, and our students regularly earn local and regional awards in art.

Community Support

For almost 15 years, the Cherryville High School Education Foundation has supported our school by providing grants and, most recently, helping fund a new science lab.
